1. Scope

This policy applies to the AIKO短剧 website, account features, video player, support channels, and other services that link to it. Third-party services apply their own privacy policies.

2. Information we process

Account information includes your username, optional email address and avatar, password hash, language, and sessions. We also process viewing progress, likes, favorites, purchases, benefits, support messages, device and browser details, IP address, request identifiers, security events, and technical logs when needed to provide and protect the service.

3. Why we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide playback, synchronize viewing progress, remember preferences, respond to requests, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose faults, comply with law, and maintain reliable service. We do not sell personal information for money.

4. Cookies and local storage

Essential cookies maintain authenticated sessions and protect account requests. Browser local storage may hold up to 50 guest viewing-progress records before sign-in. Details and controls are provided in the Cookie Policy.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We may provide the minimum necessary information to contracted hosting, database, authentication, email, monitoring, backup, and video-delivery providers acting on our instructions. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

6. Retention

We apply the following maximum or event-based retention periods. A legal hold, dispute, security investigation, or mandatory law may require a longer, access-restricted period.

• Authenticated session cookies expire after 7 days or earlier when you sign out or delete your account.
• Guest viewing progress remains in your browser until it is synchronized after sign-in, you clear viewing history or site data, or you delete your account.
• Account viewing history remains until you clear it or delete your account. Likes and favorites remain until you reverse the action or delete your account.
• Routine application and security logs are retained for up to 180 days. Privileged audit and deletion-control records are retained for up to 730 days.
• Encrypted backups are retained for up to 30 days and removed through normal backup rotation.

7. Account deletion

You may download your data, clear viewing history, or delete your account from Profile. Account deletion signs you out and deletes or de-identifies account-linked viewing activity and interactions, subject to the limited security, audit, backup-rotation, and legal obligations above.

8. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, credential hashing, request validation, monitoring, and operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, or objection. Use the controls in Profile. We may need to verify your identity.

10. Children

The service is not directed to children who cannot independently use online services under applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without required authorization.

11. Changes and contact

We update the effective date when this policy materially changes.
